The program does not require a minimum credit score or a hard credit inquiry. You use your own money to fund a security deposit, starting at $200, which generally determines your credit limit. Account activity is reported to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.
The security deposit is refundable according to the issuing bank’s terms. However, the card is not guaranteed to automatically convert into an unsecured credit card.
